Florida SBDC at UCF – Palm Coast
The Florida SBDC at UCF, in partnership with the City of Palm Coast, has opened its sixth sub-center which is housed in the City of Palm Coast offices at 160 Lake Avenue.
The sub-center is part of the city’s “Business Assistance Center” (BAC) which provides business license registration, in addition to the FSBDC’s consulting services. The BAC also partners with other resources such as Career Source, Flagler County Chamber of Commerce, SCORE, Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity and the U.S. SBA.
Hours for the FSBDC at UCF at Palm Coast will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The FSBDC at UCF – Palm Coast provides existing and prospective entrepreneurs with high quality management consulting, entrepreneurial training and information access, enabling local Palm Coast businesses to maximize their businesses growth, competitiveness and profitability within their trading area.
Ray Peter, Area Manager
The sub-center is managed by Ray Peter. Ray served as an Army officer in Vietnam prior to starting his career with IBM as an electrical design engineer working with the U.S Department of Defense. Ray’s career with IBM spanned many disciplines from manufacturing and test engineering, engineering management, product development and product sales and marketing. Ray’s concentration was primarily in the specialty sector of IBM known as Finance Industry completing his career as the North American Sale Leader for Payments Processing. In addition Ray has been the co-owner of a furniture / accessories interior design business since 2003.
Michael Oppenheim, Consultant
Michael Oppenheim is the center’s certified business consultant. Prior to becoming a consultant with the FSBDC at UCF, Michael served as Chief Executive Officer at Ecowell, LLC, a startup venture based in Exton, PA. Prior to that Michael served as Executive Vice President of ARAMARK Refreshment Services, a division of a multi-billion dollar managed services business over a nine year career. Additionally, over his 13 year career at GE Capital, Michael served in multiple advancing roles culminating as Regional Vice President and then Vice President of Sourcing and Technical Services. In addition, Michael ran his own consulting business over a five year period specializing in financial analysis, sales force productivity, mergers & acquisitions and marketing. Michael received his BS degree in Business Management from University of Tampa. He also earned his MBA in Business from the same university. Michael is also a Certified Black Belt in six-sigma methodology.
