Subcontracting and Teaming

For many small businesses, entry into government contracting will or should begin as a subcontractor. This seminar will provide the small business owner with an understanding of the overall subcontracting process, including the format for a Subcontract and Teaming agreement, including how to protect your company during the relationship and the overall benefits of subcontracting. This seminar will also provide the suggested rules of engagement and the contractual relationship between prime contractor, subcontractor and the government.

FAR Part 15: Best Practices for Debriefings and Protests

Do you always ask for a debrief? Even if you win the contract? Do you know when you should file a protest and when you shouldn’t? Debriefings and protests can be powerful tools to a government contractor but many small businesses don’t understand these processes or don’t take advantage of them when they should. This workshop will help you to better understand best practices for incorporate these tools into your ongoing procurement process.

Winning the Contract: Marketing & Selling to the Government

This seminar will provide you with suggestions on how to market your products/services to Government agencies and we’ll provide links to a current list of government purchasing activities. We’ll commence with a brief overview of selling to and doing business with the federal government including registration, and principles and practices of contracting. Then will transition and provide you with suggestions on how to market your products/services to the government including market targeting (who are the agencies and what do they buy), what to say, capabilities statements, the use of social media and specific recommendations on who do I contact/visit and what to say.
